So, let me introduce myself for people who don't know me. A few years ago I almost entirely packaged Unity8 for Arch (now called Lomiri for Arch)
It still has a lot of open issues that I'm not competent enough to resolve myself, but it launches. I've been slowly updating it with the help of the UBports team and some of my contributors, but Arch target was low priority for the UBports team, so a lot of issues are still relevant

I have been working on improving the CI process to automate rebuilds and to enable building for arm targets, but I haven't finished it yet. There is a half a year old ISO image that doesn't represent what's there at the moment, but it gives a brief idea of the progress
I am also the author of Halium for Arch project. I have been working with Arch-based rootfs for Halium, and it was proven to be pretty stable. I have been planning to make Arch based rootfs with Lomiri preinstalled once the major issues with Lomiri are resolved

Unity for Arch project now has a Live ISO
Grab the latest one here:
https://unity8.mynameisivan.ru/iso/You do not need to make any changes to your PC, and you do not need to install Arch. Just flash an ISO to a >=2 Gb flashdrive, and boot from it. ./unity8.sh will do the magic for you.
